Address and improve your dog’s reactivity
Dogs are born fearful to most things in society; people, other dogs and animals, machinery, noises, etc. We prevent these fears from becoming an issue through early critical period habituation and exposure, however if our dog has not had these early, positive experiences, it is highly likely that they will be reactive later. Reactivity is a broad term and covers many levels and types of behaviour, with the most common cause being fear based for high end issues. Agile Dogs reactive courses will give you a full understanding of why your dog is reacting to certain stimuli and the most effective way to address it.
Agile Dogs Reactivity Courses
Our reactivity courses provide you with a full understanding of your dog’s reactive behaviour and equip you with the skills and knowledge of how to appropriately and effectively manage and improve their behaviour. Course are conducted over 6 weeks and limited places are available, so bookings are essential as is your full attendance for the duration of the course. Week 1 is a theory based session with no dogs to prepare you for dog inclusive classes to follow. The course provides you with a full understanding on Desensitisation and Counter Conditioning processes, Critical Distance, Stimulus Intensity and all other aspects and techniques of specific Reactivity Training. Contact us today to discuss your dog’s issues and assess if our reactive courses are suitable for you and your dog. In-home Behaviour consultations are also available and may be required before attending classes depending on the severity of your dog’s reactivity.

Dave is the best of the best. We had a pre puppy consultation where he went through our house & sat down with us to get us ready for our new baby. He has an absolute wealth of knowledge & is so proactive in his approach to training your dog. He is so passionate about setting up your puppy properly during the critical period so your dog has the best & easiest life possible.
We cannot wait to start going to his classes weekly! Thank you so much Dave.

Dave is awesome! he’s been helping me train our pup from very young, and she’s become the wonder dog we knew she could be! Dave is so patient with not only the dogs but more importantly the owners. Although we don’t have a “problem” dog I’ve seen him work with these and he does seem to have the magic touch. All dogs need their “hello” fix from Dave when we start our session at training.

My partner and I recently sought the help of Dave from Agile Dogs to help us teach our 18 week old large-breed puppy Sunny. Some of the issues we needed help with included potty training, over-excitement, jumping up on guests and pulling on leash. Dave’s knowledge and experience came across instantaneously, and within 1 private session we have noticed significant improvement to Sunny’s behaviour.
We really appreciated the fact that Dave doesn’t punish dogs for misbehaviour by harming the animal, which we were initially a little hesitant about.
Since that session we have begun taking Sunny to the group classes run on Saturday morning. Dave and his team are very welcoming, and it is evident from the large turnout of the these classes that we have chosen the right coach to train us and our pup.

We recently adopted a one year old rescue pup who had never been socialised so was fearful of just about everything. Dave came out to our home for a one on one session with our pup Dougie and within an hour he had learnt to sit, stand, drop but most importantly was remaining calm about other dogs walking by, kids riding bikes , walkers and even managed to a meet with
our next door neighbours dog without getting stressed. Dave was amazing with the calm and professional way he handled and managed him (and us :)) and provided great advice on his training, behaviour and diet. We couldn’t recommend him highly enough – he offers a fantastic professional service that is such great value for money. Looking forward to joining his group classes soon.

A very big thank you to Dave, I cannot recommend him enough. He has got patience to explain everything to my daughter and our very excited dog Abby. Dave is by far one of the best trainers for dogs around.

I did intensive training with Dave & can honestly say he helped me so much & has changed our lives. Learning how to have voice control with a strong willed & physically strong dog was so valuable. Dave is a professional dog trainer who I would recommend to anyone in need of dog training. Thank you again Dave.

Great training classes. Gave us clear guidance so that we grew our confidence in our training abilities for our over excitable doggo. Highly recommend.
