will guide & teach you to improve your dog’s behaviour through a 1:1 assessment in your home or online via zoom, to explore your dogs’ behavioural issues, history and current situation and recommend a training plan going forward. From puppy problems to adult dog issues, Behaviour Consultations usually only require 1 or 2 sessions to address issues, promote desirable behaviours & solidify a plan for ongoing training from the owner as well as with us. More sessions may be required for more complex issues such as aggression and we usually recommend attending group obedience classes when your dog is ready.

Puppy Consultations
Dave from Agile Dogs is expertly trained and experienced to address all your puppy issues, from toilet training, teething, mouthing, biting, attention seeking, independence and destructive tendencies in puppies and more. The puppy stage is a critical period in your pup’s life where correct behavioural advice and proper socialisation is paramount. Early socialisation and positive experiences as a puppy are essential for a well-adjusted and confident dog later in life.
Adult Dog Consultations
It’s never too late to encourage desirable behaviours in your dog. Get the right advice! The Agile Dogs 4 Paw Process
Initial Consult
It all begins with a quick initial consultation over the phone to discuss your dog’s current behavioural problems and any issues you are having. Once we have a good understanding of your situation we will discuss training options and book in a time to assess your dog at home or appropriate environment.
Preliminary Assessment
Agile Dogs will conduct an assessment at your home (or via Zoom for online consultations) which involves approximately 1 hour of preliminary assessment, dog’s history, the current situation and environment and the issues to address. We then provide you with an explanation of your dog’s behaviour and why the issues are occurring.
Problem Solving
Upon completion of your dog’s preliminary assessment and discussing your dog’s behaviours so you have a better understanding of the problems and why they are happening, we then provide you with the tools and knowledge on how to solve your dog’s issues and provide you with the solutions moving forward.
Training Recommendation
At the end of the consultation we will provide you with training recommendations moving forward. This involves how to treat your dog’s behaviour issues, what measures to put in place and what training you need to implement in the future. We will also advise on your next steps such as a second behaviour consultation or group obedience classes.
